Nice display | ||
Hello - I ordered a couple of these displays for an outdoor temperature display project. While these look to be of high quality, I found that the information on the data sheet was not what I observed. The driving voltage of each segment is correct at 14VDC (will not work at all at 12V), but the current limiting resistor info is not. I powered a segment through my voltmeter set to measure mA and found that a 15 ohm resistor provided 20 mA current (at 14V). The data sheet says to use a 510 ohm resistor. For the DP, I found that 390 ohms provided 20 mA. Data sheet calls for 680 ohms. With those new resistor values, display is nice and bright! | ||
